Hystorie SHIH - TZU Chovatelské stanice  ROY'S SUN

Majitelem  Shih-tzu jsem se stal v roce 1995, kdy jsem si v létě pořídil na inzerát svého    prvního psa jménem LEO Z Amaresu od paní Lankové z Kolína.

Nejprve jsem chtěl jen milého společníka a o výstavách jsem ani nepřemýšlel. Až když jsem se    jel podívat na mezinárodní výstavu v Mladé Boleslavi 95, kde jsem načerpal potřebné informace,   rozhodl jsem se to také zkusit. Moje první výstava, kterou jsem absolvoval, byla Klubová výstava    shih - tzu v Pražském Edenu.

Zde jsem se seznámil s paní Eschnerovou, významnou chovatelkou a vystavovatelkou té doby.    Ta mi ochotně odpovídala na moje otázky a byla mi dlouhou dobu rádkyní při úpravě srsti.

Leo neměl nejprve velké úspěchy. To mě však neodradilo a s Leem jsem jezdil dál. Spoustu lidí    mi říkalo, že Leo nikdy nebude mít srst až na zem a že s ním nic moc nedokážu. Ale já jsem se   nevzdával.

Úspěchy se začaly dostavovat po čase. S Leem jsem nejprve dosáhl na Českého Junior šampióna ČR,    poté Českého šampióna.

Jelikož jsem nechtěl mít jen jednoho psa, chtěl jsem k Leovi i fenu. Pořídil jsem si od paní    Eschnerové v roce 97 hned dvě fenky Kissi a Jenny, obě z chovné stanice Paprsek Tiberu. Tímto se    moje psí rodina rozrostla a stala se základem mé vystavovatelské a chovatelské činnosti.

Začal jsem nejen s Leem, ale i s oběma fenami jezdit i do zahraničí. Absolvoval jsem výstavy    v Rakousku, Německu, Polsku, Slovensku, Maďarsku a dokonce i Litvě.

Leo začínal mít čím dál tím více úspěchů a v roce 1999 se stal Evropským vítězem v Tullnu    v Rakousku, kde porazil psy z mnoha zemí a stal se i vítězem plemene - BOB, což považuji za svůj    největší úspěch v mé vystavovatelské činnosti. Postupně se Leo stal interšampiónem a také obě feny   měly výstavní úspěchy a staly se šampiónkami a interšampiónkami. Úspěchy  mají i dále jako veteráni.   

V roce 2000 přibyl další pes Sokrates a po něm následovaly ještě 3 feny.

V roce 2001 jsem se stal i chovatelem, a založil mezinárodně chráněnou chovatelskou stanici    ROY´S SUN. Odchoval jsem 3 vrhy plemene shih-tzu. V současnosti jsem majitelem 2 psů a 5 fen.

Přiznám se že nejsem příliš velký chovatel za celou dobu jedenácti let jsem měl jen tři odchovy    ve své stanici. Nejsem chovatelem množitelem jak se v současné době stalo v Čechách módou,    ale spíše chovatelem, který má rád toto plemeno a psi v mém chovu nejsou zdrojem mé obživy. Psi    se mnou žijí volně v bytě a jsou součástí mé rodiny. V současnosti jsem aktivní vystavovatel,    vystavuji nejen u nás, ale i v zahraničí a účastním se občas i evropských výstav. Troufám si říci,    že jsem se dostal trochu do podvědomí českých a zahraničních vystavovatelů.

A brief History of the Roy's Sun Shih-Tzu Breeds

I became an owner of a Shih-Tzu dog in 1995 for the first time when, in summer time after    reading an advertisement, I bought my first stallion dog called Leo of Amares from Mrs.    Lanková of Kolín, Czech Republic.

Originally, I had wanted just a nice and friendly companion and the idea of dog show had never    crossed my mind! However, when I went to see the International Show in Mladá Boleslav,    Czech Republic in 1995 where I obtained the information necessary to take up such an endeavour,    I decided to give a try myself. The first show in which I took part was the Shih-Tzu Club Dog    Show in Eden in Prague.

And it was there I got acquainted with Mrs. Eschnerová, a prominent Shih-Tzu fancier and    exhibitor of that time. She graciously and readily answered all of my questions and became my    advisor in matters of coat dressing for a quite considerably long time.

In the beginnings of my show ventures, Leo did not achieve great success. This, though, did not    damp my determination and I kept going to show Leo again and again. At the same time, many people    kept telling me that Leo would never have his hair long enough to reach the ground and that    I would not reach much of a success with him. But I was not ready to give up and surrender.

And the success came later - one after another. The first championship Leo has won was the    Czech Junior Champion of the Czech Republic, and The Czech (Senior) Champion later on.

As I did not intend to have one dog only, I decided to acquire a female dog for Leo. Therefore,    in 1997 I purchased from Mrs. Eschnerová two female dogs - Kyssi and Jenny - both of them from The    Paprsek Tibetu (The Ray of Tibet) Breeds. Thus my dog family expanded and became the bedrock of my    exhibiting and dog rearing activities.

I began to take Leo and both of the female dogs to exhibitions held abroad. I went through shows    in Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and even in Lithuania.

Leo began to achieve one success after another and then, in 1999, he became the European Champion    in Tulln, Austria where he prevailed against dogs from many countries. He also became a breed winner    - BOB - which I consider the greatest success in my activities of a dog exhibitor. Gradually,    more successes came: Leo became an inter-champion and also both of the bitches started to be    successful in the following shows achieving the titles of champions and inter-champions. Their streak    of success has not been interrupted as they still gain appraisal and awards as veterans.

In 2000, another sire called Sokrates came to our breeds. Later, three more bitches increased the    numbers.

I became an officially certified dog fancier in 2001 and founded The Roy's Sun Breeds - dog    fancying station under international protection. I have bred three Shih-Tzu litters. Currently I own    two sires and five bitches.

I admit I am not a mass breeder and in the whole of eleven years I have had only three litters in    my breeds. I am not a fancier "propagator" as has been the fashion in this country in the recent    years but more of a fancier who really fancies this breed. The dogs in my breeds are not the source    of my income. They live freely with me in my flat and they are indeed a part of my family. Nowadays,    I am an active exhibitor and take part in dog shows not only in this country but also abroad and    often exhibit on a European level. I have managed, dare I say, to get under the skin of Shih-Tzu    exhibitors not only in the local Czech scale but also in a European context.
